Our Commitment to Health

To our Patients, Friends, and Neighbors, an update about COVID-19:
Our hope is for physical and emotional well being for you during this time of uncertainty from COVID-19.
We take our responsibility to promote safety for our staff, patients, and greater community with top priority.

With new guidance from the CDC and the American Optometric Association, along with adjusted state direction from Governor Pritzker’s office, we have resumed our office hours, patient care, and all in-office services, including yearly eye exams.

As of May 2nd, we have reopened our office with extended hours through Labor Day.
Our new office hours will be 8-8 on Monday-Thursday and 8-6 on Friday & 8-2 on Saturday.

In order to protect the health and safety of our patients, staff and community, we have implemented screening measures and safety precautions. Our adjusted office hours are one of them, enabling our staff to work as two independent teams with different work days. This staff isolation is beneficial for safeguarding patient health by reducing contact exposure for patients while in office.

Per the Governor’s Executive mandate, masks are required while in public, including when entering our office. Upon entering, you will be directed to sanitize your hands. A member of our staff will record your temperature and ask you to fill out a COVID-19 screening questionnaire using our sanitized clipboard and pen. Following this, your appointment will continue as normal, with added disinfection and precautionary health procedures, including sanitizing our exam rooms and dispensary tables after each patient encounter.

Please note that family members and guests not scheduled for an appointment are asked to not enter the office while their family/friend has their doctor’s appointment. A caregiver, parent, or guardian (or that second opinion desired if you just can’t quite narrow down your frame selection!) will be allowed in with the patient.

For patients with materials to pick up, please enter our office for normal services.
If you prefer, we will be continuing curbside services during the hours listed above. Simply call us when you arrive.

During the current COVID-19 pandemic, please reschedule your appointment if you become ill, have a temperature, exhibit symptoms associated with COVID-19, or have been exposed to COVID-19 within the last 14 days.

For our existing and new patients with ocular emergencies:
Dr. Preston Kaye remains available for 24-hour emergency care to see patients with red eyes, sudden vision changes, injuries, and other urgent issues. As always, but especially during this time of COVID-19, we urge you to seek eye care from an eye care specialist and not an emergency room.

All of our doctors are available for Telehealth Consultations.

We appreciate that you put your trust in our office to safely deliver your ocular care, and we remain diligent in our efforts to serve you in that way.

Think Positive, Be Positive.
